In addition to two analogue inputs and four analogue outputs, Prism have built digital expansion potential into this audio interface in the form of S/PDIF and ADAT I/O, alongside an AES3 mode that can be activated via the RCA/phono connection. Also, for the linking up of multiple digital bits of kit, clocking and synchronisation technology is essential, which is why the Lyra 2 also comes with word-clock sync I/O, and it even does something that no other interface is capable of: a 'background check' on any audio stream or recorded audio.
